Overview
SAÏ Safari Boat Lake Nasser — Honest Review, Specs & Prices 2026
Ahmed’s honest take: The SAÏ is the most unusual Lake Nasser option I offer and will not suit everyone — but for the right traveller it is the most memorable. It carries 12 guests. That is not a typo. Twelve guests on a 26-metre handmade wooden boat that took five years to build from beach pine wood at Lake Nasser Yard. The result is not a cruise; it is closer to a private expedition. The smaller hull accesses shores and sites the 65–80 cabin ships cannot reach. Three things to be direct about. One: this operates in winter months only (approximately October–April); summer is full private charter. Two: no Wi-Fi anywhere — not on board, not in port. This is by design. Three: the water filtration is for shower use only — drinking water is provided separately on board. If you want the most exclusive, most intimate, most authentically Nubian experience on Lake Nasser, the SAÏ has no competition.
